High-Speed Touring in its Most Brilliant Form.
For 2002, Moto Guzzi presents another new model, the California Special
Sport Aluminum.
Brilliant in its appearance and its equipment, this is a bike that immediately
shows a
personality that defies the norm.
The most obvious new feature is the color, with a luminescent aluminum
surface on the tank,
sides and the alternator cover and cradles. The handlebars are also new,
showing off a racy
design.
The in-depth re-styling has involved numerous other details, such as the
new and more
aerodynamic sidecovers that now fit closer to the frame and allow the rider's
feet to rest
better on the ground. The front fender is more compact, reducing weight
and contributing to
the overall modern look. The ergonomic design of the new side kickstand
makes parking
quick and easy.
Even with all of these new features for 2002, Guzzi has stuck to the distinctive
design that has
made the California Special Sport a favorite among Guzzi fans all over
the world. For those
who love to travel in style but keep an eye on performance, the V-twin
heart of the California
Special Sport Aluminum beats hard, with a top speed of 200 km/h that brings
those horizons
closer, faster. The well-padded seat is roomy enough for two, and super-duty
rear shocks
provide both comfort and handling. Shifting is easier, with shorter throw
and an easy to
locate neutral. The frame and rear forks have been re-designed to allow
mounting of a larger
tire.
The 2002 California Special Sport Aluminum is brilliant to see, and even
more brilliant to ride.
